The article analyzes the global order crisis, marked by the relative decline of U.S. hegemony and the emergence of a contested multipolar world. It examines the dynamics of “accumulation by dispossession” and its link to new forms of total war. It addresses the reconfiguration of domination in Latin America and the struggle over strategic assets, and it focuses on the Colombian case, by assessing the limits of Gustavo Petro’s government in the face of these pressures. It concludes that regional emancipation depends on the ability of the peoples to build alternatives.
