In Latin America anti-systemic movements have some peculiarities compared to the first world and also differences in the analysis that has produced the sociology of social movements. These differences can be grouped into four main areas: political currents in the movement, its main characteristics, traditions that influence their conformation to finally realize what we understand in this continent by alternative movements and anti-systemic inspiration.
